Your agreement to these terms constitutes a legally binding contract
By accessing, browsing, or purchasing from Time & Tide Skincare (the "Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you ("Customer," "you," or "your") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations.
Understanding our artisan skincare products and what we offer
Time & Tide Skincare specialises in handcrafted, artisan skincare products made with natural ingredients sourced responsibly. Our products are:
All products comply with UK Cosmetic Product Safety Regulations 2008, REACH Regulation, and are registered with the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS).
Our products contain natural ingredients that may cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. Always perform a patch test before full use. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
How orders are placed, confirmed, and processed
You have 15 minutes after order placement to request cancellation. After this time, orders enter our fulfilment process and cannot be cancelled due to the artisan nature of our products.
Understanding pre-order products and fulfilment timelines
Some products or the entire collection may be available as pre-orders due to upcoming launches, seasonal production, or order handling requirements. Pre-order items will be clearly marked on the website with expected fulfilment dates.
A pre-order allows you to purchase products in advance of their availability. This may be due to a new product launch, limited batch production, or high demand requiring additional production time.
Pre-order products are handcrafted to order. Once production begins, orders cannot be cancelled or modified. All pre-orders are subject to the same return policy as standard products (unopened items only).
Pricing, payment methods, and financial obligations
All transactions processed through Stripe's secure payment gateway. We never store your payment details on our servers. All payment data is encrypted and complies with PCI DSS standards.
Shipping terms, delivery expectations, and risk allocation
Some products may be sensitive to extreme temperatures. During summer months (June-August), we may delay shipping during heatwaves to protect product integrity.
Your rights under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations and our policy
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you normally have 14 days to cancel. However, cosmetic products are exempt from this right if the seal has been broken for hygiene reasons.
Returns are only accepted for completely unopened and unused products within 14 days of receipt. Once a cosmetic product has been opened, it cannot be returned due to hygiene and safety regulations.
The customer bears all costs and responsibility for returning eligible items. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, retailers are only required to pay return costs for faulty or misdescribed goods. For change-of-mind returns on cosmetics, the burden of return costs falls on the consumer.
Under EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009 (retained in UK law) and the Cosmetic Products Enforcement Regulations 2013, opened cosmetic products pose hygiene risks and cannot be resold. This policy protects consumer safety and complies with UK trading standards.
Understanding our responsibilities and limitations under UK law
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other rights that cannot be excluded under UK law (Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977).
How we collect, use, and protect your personal information
We comply with UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018. Our Data Protection Officer oversees compliance.
